New MRI technique spots hidden heart damage in thyroid patients

Summary

This study will test whether a special MRI scan can find and measure tiny scars in the heart muscle of people with long-term thyroid disease. The scan is non-invasive and may be more accurate than current methods. Researchers will enroll 40 adults with chronic thyroid disease who do not have other major illnesses like diabetes or high blood pressure.
