Virus and radiation team up against rare sarcoma
NCT ID NCT04599062
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether injecting a modified herpes virus (T-VEC) directly into tumors, combined with radiation therapy before surgery, is safe and can shrink advanced soft tissue sarcomas. About 8 to 46 adults with sarcoma that cannot be easily removed will receive the virus injection plus radiation, then surgery. The main goals are to check for side effects and see if the tumor dies significantly.
