Simple test may predict heart attack risk in mild artery disease
NCT ID NCT00868855
First seen Jun 16, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 16, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring a natural clot-busting substance (t-PA) released from heart arteries can predict future heart problems in people with mild to moderate coronary artery disease. Researchers gave a small dose of bradykinin into the heart artery and measured t-PA levels. The goal was to see if poor t-PA release signals higher risk of major cardiac events. Only 16 people were enrolled before the study ended early.
