New drug cocktail tested in battle against aggressive blood cancers
NCT ID NCT00501826
Summary
This study is testing a combination of several chemotherapy drugs to treat adults with newly diagnosed T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) or T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. The goal is to see if adding the drugs nelarabine, pegaspargase, and venetoclax to a standard intensive chemotherapy regimen is safe and more effective at putting the cancer into remission and keeping it away. Researchers will measure how many patients achieve complete remission, how long they stay cancer-free, and their overall survival.
