Fainting patients: go home now or stay overnight?

NCT ID NCT06472375

Summary

This study aims to find out whether patients who come to the cardiac emergency room with fainting spells (syncope) and are considered low-to-medium risk should be sent home immediately or observed in the hospital for 24 hours with heart monitoring. Researchers will compare these two common approaches in 640 patients to see which leads to better detection of heart rhythm problems, fewer repeat fainting episodes, and better use of hospital resources. The goal is to create clearer guidelines for doctors treating fainting patients.
