Gut health pill tested for Long-Term IBS relief
NCT ID NCT07235215
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily capsule containing a mix of nine probiotic bacteria and a prebiotic fiber can help people with moderate to severe Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Over 36 weeks, researchers will compare the supplement to a placebo (a dummy pill) in 200 participants to see if it reduces symptoms like pain and bloating and improves quality of life. The goal is to see if this specific blend of 'good bacteria' can provide lasting relief for IBS symptoms.
