Can a daily probiotic boost make cyclists faster?
NCT ID NCT06300060
Summary
This study tested whether a daily synbiotic supplement (a mix of probiotics and prebiotics) could improve cycling performance and recovery in trained adult cyclists. Twenty-two participants took either the supplement or a placebo daily for 42 days. Researchers measured changes in their 20km time trial speed, body composition, gut health, and immune markers to see if the supplement made a difference.
