Can a vein viewer detect hidden nerve damage?
NCT ID NCT07029191
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether the ACCUVEIN device, which projects veins onto the skin, can detect changes in vein size when a person stands up. These changes are controlled by the autonomic nervous system, and problems with them may signal dysautonomia. 12 healthy adults were tilted upright on a table while the device recorded their veins. If successful, this could lead to a simple, quick test for a condition that is often hard to diagnose.
