First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding special breathing exercises (inspiratory muscle training) to a swimming program could improve lung function and asthma control in children with mild asthma. Thirty children aged 8 to 11 took part in a 4-week program. One group did swimming only, while the other group also did breathing exercises twice a day. The researchers measured lung function, breathing muscle strength, and asthma control before and after the program.
