First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This small pilot study will test whether weekly Swedish massage sessions can help adults with type 1 diabetes feel less stressed and improve their blood sugar control. Twenty participants will receive five weekly massages, and researchers will measure changes in stress hormones, inflammation, and glucose levels. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and worth testing in a larger trial.
