Summary

This study tested whether adding a mild electrical stimulation therapy to standard swallowing exercises helps people with Multiple Sclerosis who have trouble swallowing (dysphagia). 136 participants were randomly assigned to receive either real or fake electrical stimulation along with their standard therapy. The goal was to see if the electrical stimulation provided extra benefit in improving swallowing safety and function.
