Hidden swallowing problems in seniors: ER study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT06368830
Summary
This study aims to learn more about swallowing difficulties and oral health in adults aged 60 and older who come to the emergency department. Researchers will perform simple tests during the ER visit, like checking tongue strength, collecting saliva, and asking survey questions. The goal is to understand how common these problems are and how they might relate to other health conditions like pneumonia.
