Study asks: which stitch leaves a better scar?
NCT ID NCT03781141
Summary
This study aimed to see if the type of stitch used to close a wound after common hand surgeries (like carpal tunnel or trigger finger release) made a difference in how the scar looked and how satisfied patients were. It planned to compare stitches that dissolve on their own with stitches that need to be removed later. The study was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
