Stitch spacing secrets: finding the best way to hide surgical scars

NCT ID NCT03327922

Summary

This study aimed to find the best way to place the deep, dissolving stitches during skin surgery to create the least noticeable scar. Researchers compared placing these stitches 1 centimeter apart versus 2 centimeters apart on wounds on the torso, arms, and legs. They measured how the scars looked and felt to see which spacing method worked better.
