Doctors test simple tweak to surgery that could lead to less noticeable scars

NCT ID NCT05758181

Summary

This study is testing if a specific step during wound closure makes scars look better. Doctors will compare two sides of the same surgical wound on 50 adults: one side will get a standard closure, and the other will get an extra step to loosen the skin at the ends. The goal is to see if this small change leads to a less noticeable scar three months after surgery.
