Surgery studied for Women's Post-Childbirth intimate concerns
NCT ID NCT04835311
Summary
This study looked back at the results of a surgical procedure to tighten vaginal muscles in women experiencing a feeling of excessive looseness, often after childbirth. Researchers reviewed the cases of 55 women who had the surgery to see if it improved their sexual health and reduced discomfort. The goal was to better understand the outcomes of this specific surgical repair for a common but under-reported condition.
