Can surgery ease the heavy burden of Post-Cancer arm swelling?

Summary
This international study aims to find out if specialized surgery provides better quality of life than standard therapy alone for chronic arm swelling (lymphedema) after breast cancer treatment. It will enroll 280 patients who have had swelling for over 3 months despite standard care. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either surgery or continue with standard compression and massage therapy, and their quality of life will be compared after 15 months.
