Can surgery extend lives when prostate cancer spreads? major trial seeks answer
NCT ID NCT02454543
Summary
This study is for men whose prostate cancer has spread to a few bones. It aims to find out if having surgery to remove the prostate, in addition to the best available drug treatments, helps men live longer and better than using drug treatments alone. Researchers will follow about 450 men for up to 10 years to compare survival, cancer progression, and quality of life between the two approaches.
