Major european study questions if surgery helps when cancer has spread
NCT ID NCT06787014
Summary
This study aims to find out if removing the main tumor helps patients with advanced small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors that have spread and cannot be cured. It will compare the long-term survival and complication rates of patients who had surgery to those who received medication only. The research uses past patient data from across Europe to guide future treatment decisions.
