Simple stomach stretch during surgery could speed recovery

NCT ID NCT07451392

Summary

This study is testing if a simple step during pancreas surgery can help patients recover faster. During the operation, surgeons will gently stretch the valve that connects the stomach to the small intestine. Researchers want to see if this reduces common problems like severe nausea, vomiting, and a slow-to-empty stomach after surgery, which can keep patients in the hospital longer.
