Summary
This study is testing a new hospital program called '5 Rs to Rescue' designed to prevent deaths after surgery. It will run in 20 hospitals across Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda, involving 6,000 adult patients. The program teaches staff a 5-step system to better spot and quickly treat dangerous complications like infections or bleeding that can develop after an operation.
