Back or belly? study probes surgery Position's effect on lungs

NCT ID NCT07320092

Summary

This study aims to understand if lying on your back or stomach during surgery affects how often your lungs partially collapse, a common issue after anesthesia. Researchers will use simple, safe ultrasound scans on 80 adults having planned surgery to compare the two positions. The goal is to gather knowledge to help improve patient monitoring and care, not to test a new treatment.
