Doctors use eye scans to monitor brain pressure in tilted surgery

NCT ID NCT07491198

Summary

This study aims to understand how two common surgical conditions—tilting the patient head-down and inflating the abdomen with gas—affect pressure inside the skull during robotic prostate cancer surgery. Researchers will use a simple, non-invasive ultrasound scan on the eye to measure this pressure in 50 patients. The goal is to gather knowledge about the body's response to improve the safety of these complex operations.
