Can High-Tech surgery monitoring get patients home faster?
NCT ID NCT04913493
Summary
This study aimed to see if using two special monitoring devices during major vascular surgery could help patients recover faster and shorten their hospital stay. It compared using one standard device to using that device plus a second one that looks at tiny blood vessels under the tongue. The trial was for high-risk adults having planned surgery for conditions like carotid artery plaque or aortic aneurysms, but it was stopped early.
