NCT ID NCT05163899

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests if a surgery that cuts a small piece of tissue at the bottom of the spinal cord can relieve symptoms in people with occult tethered cord syndrome (OTCS). The trial includes 20 people aged 2 to 80 whose symptoms have not improved with standard medical care for at least a year. Researchers will compare symptom changes between those who get surgery and those who continue medical management.
