Summary
This study tested a two-part surgical procedure for children with severe, treatment-resistant constipation. Twenty children underwent a combination of laparoscopic bowel surgery and the creation of a new pathway for administering enemas. Researchers measured changes in bowel symptoms and quality of life after the surgery.
