Study tests which surgery better holds up Women's pelvic organs
NCT ID NCT03005613
Summary
This study compared two different surgical techniques used to repair pelvic organ prolapse in women. It randomly assigned 76 patients to have either a sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSLF) or an ischial spine fascia fixation (ISFF) procedure. The main goal was to see which method was more effective at correcting the prolapse, had a lower chance of the problem coming back, and led to better quality of life for patients after surgery.
