Aggressive surgery trial for advanced pancreatic cancer halted early

NCT ID NCT06122480

Summary

This study tested whether surgically removing both the main pancreatic tumor and a small number of tumors that had spread to the liver or lungs could help patients live longer. Participants first received standard chemotherapy. If their cancer did not worsen, they underwent major surgery to remove all visible tumors. The trial was stopped early after enrolling only 5 people.
