Can specialized care for seniors make surgery safer?

NCT ID NCT07372092

Summary

This study aims to see if a new hospital program that provides specialized care for older adults before and after surgery leads to better results. Researchers will look at the medical records of 150 patients aged 65 and older who had procedures like hip fracture or colon surgery. They will compare outcomes like recovery time and complications from before the program started to after it was in place.
