Fake vs. real surgery: the fight against Post-Cancer swelling

NCT ID NCT06082349

Summary

This study is testing whether a surgical procedure called lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA) is better than a sham (fake) surgery at reducing chronic limb swelling (lymphedema) in cancer survivors. It will involve 110 participants who have swelling that hasn't improved with standard therapy. The main goal is to see if the real surgery improves patients' daily function and quality of life more than the sham procedure over two years.
