Could a sip of water before surgery make recovery easier?

NCT ID NCT06216977

Summary

This study aimed to see if allowing patients to drink clear liquids up to one hour before surgery is as safe as the traditional rule of no food or drink after midnight. Researchers wanted to compare patient comfort, nausea, and pain, as well as how it affects operating room scheduling. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
