Spine surgery showdown: which fusion method wins?
NCT ID NCT00869882
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 60 adults with a spine condition called degenerative spondylolisthesis, where a vertebra slips forward. It compared two surgical methods to fuse the bones: one with just screws and rods, and the other adding an extra cage between vertebrae. The goal was to see which approach better restores spine alignment and avoids repeat surgery.
