Summary

This study compares two surgeries for Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome (SMAS), a rare condition where the duodenum is squeezed between arteries, causing severe nausea, vomiting, and weight loss. 20 participants were randomly assigned to either a gastric bypass or a duodeno-jejunostomy and followed for 12 months. The goal is to see which surgery better improves symptoms and nutrition.
