Summary

This study is testing a new training program to help surgeons communicate more clearly with patients about surgery. Researchers want to see if automated training works as well as specialist-led training to improve how surgeons explain surgery risks, benefits, and alternatives. The study involves surgeons, their patients, and people with past surgery experience completing surveys and recordings of doctor-patient conversations.
