New study aims to ease the load for parents of kids with tracheostomies

Summary
This study looks at how to best support parents and caregivers who take care of children with tracheostomies at home. About 480 caregivers will be randomly assigned to receive either a standard discharge program or one with extra support. Researchers will measure caregiver burden and hospital readmissions over six months to see which approach works better.
