Summary

This study tests whether extra support for caregivers—like follow-up phone calls or automatic messages—can help keep youth ages 10-17 from returning to the emergency room after a mental health crisis. About 75 families will be randomly assigned to standard care, phone follow-ups, or electronic messages. The goal is to see which approach works best and is easiest for families to use.
