New support programs aim to ease pain for older breast cancer patients

Summary

This study tests two support programs designed to help older women manage pain and other difficult side effects while taking hormone therapy for breast cancer. Researchers will compare a clinic-based geriatric assessment program and a patient coping skills training program against standard care. The goal is to improve quality of life for women aged 65+ who are taking aromatase inhibitor medications.
