Virtual support groups aim to ease stress for transgender surgery seekers

NCT ID NCT06436560

Summary

This study aims to see if virtual peer support groups help transgender and non-binary people feel better prepared and less stressed while waiting for and preparing for vaginoplasty surgery. Researchers will compare a group-based online support program led by peers who have had similar surgery to the standard education materials provided by surgical teams. The goal is to improve coping skills, reduce stress, and help people meet the requirements needed to schedule their surgery.
