Summary
This study tested a new support program designed with and for African American parents. The program aimed to help parents manage stress and learn healthy habits for their families, with the goal of improving parent mental health and preventing childhood obesity. Researchers worked with 44 expecting parents in North Carolina to see if the group-based program was practical and well-liked.
