First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special education program and monthly reminders can help ultrarunners use more sun protection. About 110 runners in the 2026 Western States Endurance Run will be split into two groups: one gets the sun safety program, the other gets a general wellness brochure. The goal is to see if the program lowers risky sun behaviors and improves knowledge about UV protection.
