First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This small study tested whether a 6-week summer youth employment program could help teens ages 14-17 maintain or lower their body mass index (BMI). Researchers measured weight, activity, sleep, and diet in 15 teens who worked at a summer camp. The goal was to see if the program shows promise for preventing obesity before scaling up to a larger trial.
