First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving free summer day camp vouchers to low-income children with overweight or obesity can help them manage their weight. About 80 children aged 5 to 11 who are on Medicaid will either receive a camp voucher or continue with standard care. The goal is to see if the camps are a practical and acceptable way to improve children's health.
