First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study was designed to test a new therapy model called 'Connections' for teens and young adults (ages 13-30) who have had suicidal thoughts or attempts in the past year but do not need immediate crisis care. The approach combines a special counseling style (Aeschi Model) with standard collaborative care in primary clinics. The goal was to see if it improves the patient-provider relationship and reduces suicidal thoughts. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants.
