Psychedelics & brain tech tested in groundbreaking suicide risk study

NCT ID NCT07484906

Summary

This study aimed to better understand who is at high risk for suicide. Researchers planned to use brain scans, blood tests, and AI to find patterns. They also wanted to test three experimental therapies—brain stimulation, neurofeedback, and psilocybin (a psychedelic)—to see if they could reduce suicidal thoughts. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
