First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how often brief check-ins (like phone calls or texts) should happen to help prevent suicide in people leaving psychiatric hospitals. About 500 patients in Shenzhen, China, were split into groups receiving different frequencies of these check-ins after discharge. The goal was to find the best schedule to lower suicide risk and see how well this approach works in real-world settings.
