New hope: local nurses and peers join forces to stop suicide

Summary
This study aims to test a new suicide prevention program for women in Tajikistan. The program, called SUSTAIN, will be led by nurses and trained peers in local health clinics. Researchers will enroll 96 women at moderate to high risk of suicide to see if the support program can reduce suicide attempts and improve mental health over 9 months.
