Summary
This study tested a new type of talk therapy designed to help prevent suicide in adults aged 50-90. The therapy, called CRISP, teaches people how to change their thoughts about upsetting situations to better manage their emotions. Researchers compared this new therapy to standard supportive therapy to see if it was better at reducing suicide risk over 24 weeks.
