New study aims to save veteran lives after community mental health care

Summary
This study looks at whether a program called VA Brief Intervention and Contact (VA BIC) can lower suicide risk in Veterans after they leave a non-VA mental health facility. About 120 Veterans who recently had suicidal thoughts will take part. Researchers will track their suicidal thoughts and mental health visits to see if the program helps.
