First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding Cognitive Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CTSP) to standard services can reduce suicidal thoughts in homeless youth aged 15-24 who use alcohol or drugs. About 300 participants will be split into two groups: one gets CTSP plus usual care, the other gets usual care alone. Researchers will track changes in suicidal thoughts, substance use, and depression over 12 months.
