This study is testing a program called WeCare to help Black teenagers who are at risk for suicide. The program includes a quick screening in the emergency room, a brief safety planning session, and supportive text messages for six weeks afterward. Researchers want to see if this approach helps more teens get connected to mental health services and reduces suicidal thoughts. About 2,200 Black youth aged 12-19 and their parents will take part.
